About the Course
This Musical Theater Summer CAMP offers a 3-week immersive musical theater experience that promises to be engaging, challenging, and fun! SMTC (Sarasota Musical Theater Company) directed by Priscilla Smith, recognizes each child’s talent and gives him or her the necessary building blocks to grow as a performer. More importantly, SMTC believes that Theater brings us together. That it is in collaboration, not in competition, that we can be our best selves and create magic on the stage.Â
Â
In this camp, kids will learn to put a musical together from the ground up. Students will be a part of almost every aspect of theater. Set designing and building, prop making, character development, choreography and dance training, voice training, backstage crew, costume design, and More! The clinic will include classes in voice, acting, and dance, with cutting-edge workshops, and will also get to learn set building skills by creating all the sets for their final performance which will take place on the last day.
